How do I get my unit tested or rebuilt?
Complete our online test form, choose shipping & a collection date, then package the unit securely. We’ll book it in and arrange courier collection from you.
What is the testing fee? Is it waived?
The test fee is £45. If the unit is faulty and you authorise the rebuild, or if it’s beyond repair, we waive the fee. If no fault is found (vehicle-side), the £45 fee applies.
What are your shipping fees?
Collection can be arranged via the test form. UK return shipping is typically £19.50. Oversized/heavy units may cost more—we’ll confirm before dispatch.
Do you arrange collection of my unit?
Yes. Select your preferred collection date in the test form and we’ll book the courier.
Will my unit need reprogramming after repair?
Almost never—refit and go. If software replacement is unavoidable, we’ll advise and supply instructions.
How long is the warranty and what does it cover?
Rebuilds include our Lifetime, unlimited-mileage warranty covering recurrence of the original repaired fault under normal use. Exclusions: water/corrosion, over-voltage/jump-starting, misuse/incorrect installation, tampering, and faults caused by other components. Removal/refit labour isn’t covered. See Lifetime Warranty.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Email info@luneautoelectronics.co.uk with your order number and fault description. We’ll send a claim form and return instructions. After inspection we’ll repair, replace or refund at our discretion.
Can I return a working replacement unit if the fault was elsewhere?
Yes—if the unit is in full working order and not custom-programmed. If we programmed/reset it for your vehicle, we deduct the programming/reset cost from the refund.
Can I drop off in person? Can I bring the whole vehicle?
Drop-offs are welcome by appointment during weekday hours. We don’t offer removal/refitting and can’t accept whole vehicles.
Do you offer same-day or while-you-wait service?
Sometimes, for certain units if booked in advance and received early. Call to check availability.
How do you test units? Can you test at operating temperature?
We use bespoke Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) rigs to simulate real-world loads/signals. Temperature & prolonged stress tests available on request (note this on your test form).
I can’t find my part number—can you still help?
Often yes—not every supported number is listed. Send the exact number printed on your unit. A VIN/reg can help confirm programming options, but we still need the part number.
What if my parcel is damaged in transit?
Photograph packaging & unit, report within 48 hours, and keep all packaging for inspection so we can process the courier claim.
What are your opening hours?
Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm. Closed weekends and UK bank holidays.
